Top 5 Reasons to Book in Fall
If you’ve been following along on my blog for a bit, you probably remember another post like this! I’ve written before about reasons to book during the summer. Naturally, summer sessions have some perks, but you can’t discount a senior session in fall! Here, I’ve laid out five big reasons that I love fall senior sessions.
Check out my blog and my Instagram for more examples of fall sessions!
Reason One: Fall Colors
Whenever people start talking about fall, the first thing that comes to mind is the leaves changing colors! I LOVE fall colors and their warmth. Fall is easily one of the most beautiful seasons to be in Colorado, especially in the mountains! If you haven’t booked a senior session yet, you have to hurry! Fall trees photograph SO well and add a little something to your session that you can’t get in the summer. But the colors don’t last forever and they somehow seem to disappear faster in the mountains. So if you’re itching for some fall color, be sure to book soon!
Reason Two: Outfit Options
A big reason some of my seniors try to book a fall session is the outfit options. Some of my seniors love summer and the opportunity to wear more warm weather clothing for their session. However, some of my seniors are more about sweaters and heavy coats, so fall is the perfect chance to break out their cool-weather clothes. Fall sessions are an excellent opportunity to layer up and pull out your favorite beanie! If that’s more your style or what makes you feel the most like you, be sure to book a fall session! And do so soon!
Reason Three: Fall Weather
Weather is always a huge motivator when it comes to when people book sessions. One benefit of fall weather is that it’s a little cooler so you can avoid the summer heat, which means less sweating! The sun is also lower in the sky, which results in a warmer, richer tone to your images. The other neat thing about booking now is that you also avoid the snow. Some seniors might want to hold out until spring for their session, but some locations get snowed on early and don’t thaw out until mid-June! So if you want a session in the mountains, now is better than later.
Reason Four: Yearbook Deadlines
Deadlines a BIG reason to book during the fall, and it’s one that my seniors don’t always consider. While each school has a slightly different date they need your image by, they’re coming up soon! And how can you say no to your senior pictures being in your yearbook? Yearbooks are such an emotional keepsake, and you HAVE to make sure your Senior picture makes it!
Reason Five: Products
One of the upsides to a fall senior session too is that you still have the time to order some products before Christmas rolls around! Senior pictures are some of the best gifts you can give to your family (grandparents LOVE them). I seriously can’t recommend them enough. I have all sorts of new products in stock this year, like image cubes and custom folios. You could even put together a wall or desk calendar for the New Year! And most of these products get free two-day shipping. I’m currently working on a mailing list, and I’ll be using it to send out a cool gift guide that will help you with all of your Christmas needs in November, so keep an eye out for that moving forward. And don’t forget to book so you have time to schedule an order session!
