The month of April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and as a survivor, mother, and youth leader this is a movement that is close to my heart. When I was in college, I worked at the women’s center on campus and took calls from young women in crisis. Do you know 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men worldwide have been assaulted or abused at some point. Understanding how to get help early is vital to helping victims move on in a healthy manner.
