I was eager to escape to Bluebell, North Carolina in Autumn Skies. This is a feel good romance set at a little family Inn.  When the Inn’s owner, Grace, gets an unexpected visitor with an open ended stay, she’s immediately smitten by the mysterious stranger!  Wyatt Jennings is a secret service agent sent on a mandatory leave of absence after he was shot on the job.  He escapes to the Inn for some peace and quiet. 

Of course, neither one of them expected the other to come into their lives!  These two are SO different but once Grace gets Wyatt to open at, there’s a world of possibilities for both of them. She’s funny and carefree, he’s guarded and structured.  But when she helps guide him on a hiking trip, they connect and discover there’s a painful mystery that connects them both.  Filled with heartache, trauma, and healing, this book was a delight. 

I devoured Autumn Skies in one sitting and it left me feeling refreshed.  This is the third story taking place at the Inn but it easily reads as a stand alone.  But once you read one, you’ll want the rest!
