Summerhaven
Momma Leighellen's Book Review

“Just as the newspaper helped me understand the world, books helped me understand myself.” – Summerhaven

Thanks to my dear friend Lauren of @thebookscript for sending Summerhaven to me for my birthday! She always knows my taste in books. I devoured it in one sitting and it was the perfect way to end the month.

I knew I would adore Summerhaven the moment I opened it. The author begins with a note of thanks to authors who helped her on this journey – and it was literally all my favorite regency authors!! I knew if  @karenthornell, @joannabarker, and @estherhatch enjoyed it, so would I.

Summerhaven by @tiffanyodekirk is an enemies to fake dating to lovers regency romance set in 1817. It follows a young woman named Hannah who sets out for a summer to secure the hand of her childhood best friend, Ollie. In an attempt to make him jealous, she pretends to court his brother, Damon.

It is a swoonworthy romance filled with witty banter, ballroom dancing, and hilarious childhood memories. It’s also a beautiful look at what marriage could be when the focus is love and trust. Don’t miss this sweet + fun romance!
